Questions from the session
Part 1
The philosopher Lucius Annaeus Seneca once said:
Anger: an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.
How true do you think this is?
J.John highlighted three common expressions of anger:
the maniac, the mute and the manipulator.
How much do you relate to each of these three expressions?
Part 2
Try to be aware of when you become angry in the week ahead. Ask yourself these questions:
What is causing me to get angry?
Am I seeing the full picture?
How might Jesus react in this situation?
How can I express my anger without hurting others?
Galatians 5:22-23, in the Bible, reads:
The fruit of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
If you feel that you are lacking in any of these areas, ask God to fill you with his Holy Spirit today.
